The Victorian trades Hall Council provides training to employers that focuses on eradicating gendered violence from the workplace. Gendered violence is any behaviour, action, system, or structure that causes physical, sexual, psychological, or economic harm to a worker because of their sex, gender, sexual orientation or because they do not adhere to dominant gender stereotypes or socially prescribed gender roles.
Gendered violence has no place in workplaces. Obligations are outlined in the Victorian OHS ACT 2004 as it causes injury to workers.
Our Safe and Respectful Workplaces training will give employers to tools to understand and address gendered violence in the workplace and make your workplace a safe place for all. We can tailor the training to your workplace’s needs and we welcome your queries.
This Safe Respectful Workplaces course is four hours and is relevant for anyone involved in ensuring workplaces are safe including employers, managers, other staff, and trade teachers. We also deliver the WorkSafe approved Work Related Gendered Violence 1 Day refresher course for HSRs.
